Install Incorta on Multiple Servers

Custom installation enables horizontal scalibility. This section will guide you to complete a Custom Multi-Node Topology installation.

To create a cluster, you need to:

1. Install the CMC once per cluster.
2. Install an Incorta HA node (repeat this for each node you want to host any number of loader/analytics services, resources permitting).Install the CMCThe CMC is a web UI that helps Admins manage clusters, nodes, and loader/analytic services.

Install the CMC only once per cluster using the following steps:

1. Follow the Common installation steps.
2. Type “2” to select custom installation.
3. Type “1” to select Cluster Management Console (CMC).
4. Provide an installation directory or accept the default location, then select Enter. Confirm if you provided a non-default directory.
5. Provide the CMC port configuration, by either accepting the defaults or providing other ones.
6. Configure the username and password that you will use to access and log in to the CMC. Keep this information handy after the installation.
7. Review the CMC installation location, and select Enter.
8. Wait for the installation to complete.
9. Install an Incorta HA node
10. Install an Incorta node (i.e. server), to contain the analytics/loader services according to the topology that you chose.

If you plan to install Incorta on multiple nodes, repeat the following steps on each node:

1. Follow the Common installation steps.
2. Type “2” to select custom installation.
3. Type “2” to select “Incorta HA Node”.
4. Provide an installation directory or accept the default location, then select Enter. Confirm, if you provided a non-default directory.
5. Accept the node agent default ports, or provide other ones if the defaults are not available. The node agent is responsible for the communication between the CMC and the node you are installing.
6. Choose whether or not to install Tomcat web application manager.
7. Review the Incorta node installation location, and select Enter.
8. Wait for the installation to complete.
9. installation to complete.
10. Log in to the CMC.
11. Create a cluster.
12. Add a node.
13. Add two services at minimum; one loader and one analytics.
14. Create a tenant.
