Maintenance Packs

Incorta encourages customers to upgrade to the most recent release. Here are maintenance packs notes for this minor release.

Maintenance Pack 4.9.14

What’s New?

  • Supporting secure connections via proxy
  • Parsing JSON operators

Issues fixed

Scheduler

  • Fixed an issue with schema notifications, where it used to stop after a period of time.
  • Resolved an issue with logging notification ID to the logs.
  • Resolved an issue with sending scheduled dashboards, where a very high number of scheduled jobs cause the scheduler to take time to trigger them in a timely manner.

Visualizations

  • Fixed an issue with the Pivot table visualization, where enabling the “Row Grand Total” option resulted in adding empty rows.

Dashboards

  • Fixed an issue with session variables having the number zero “0” in their names, where it used to cause errors in dashboards.
  • Fixed an issue with the dashboard search, where it used to show an error when trying to add a value in the search bar.
  • Fixed an issue with the sort order in the dashboard filter and prompts menu on Firefox.
  • Fixed an issue, where an error used to occur when you try to search for a security filter while an applied filter already exists.

Single Sign-On (SSO)

  • Fixed an issue with SSO login by supporting secure connection via proxy.

Physical Schema

  • Fixed an issue with Schema load, where the Schema load job is finished but the tables show they are still loading.
  • Fixed an issue with physical schemas stuck in the “Interrupting” status even after restarting the Loaded and Analytics service
  • Fixed an issue with loading the rest of the tables in a schema even if a table load fails.
  • Fixed an issue with schema load, where the load job is stuck due to simultaneous access from both loader and analytics services.
  • Fixed an issue with the schema load duration, where it used to show incorrect duration while running the load job and the correct one after the load job is done.

Analyzer

Fixed an issue with displaying the Hex code for custom colors.

Miscellaneous

  • Enhanced the process of cleaning the TEMP directory in the Incorta installation folder on a regular basis from unnecessary large files.
  • Fixed an issue with loading data from BOX files that used to be stuck and locked even if the load job is aborted.
  • Fixed an issue with the CASE function, where the parser used to fail when using JSON operators such as And/Or/Parenthesis
  • Fixed an issue with using Dropbox and Google drive as data sources while using a proxy connection.

  • Fixed an issue when downloading log files from the CMC where it used to cause an error.

Maintenance Pack 4.9.13

  • Improved performance of the Metadata schema update

  • Fixed an issue where Dashboard tab names would sometimes not be displayed when importing a data notification alert
  • Fixed an issue where exported scheduled jobs would not maintain the desired selected tab when importing
  • Fixed an issue where the data value format for some visualizations would not display correctly when using “Percentage of Column”
  • Resolved an issue where aggregated tables would not conditionally change the color of a cell
  • Fixed an issue where large formulas could cause the values of columns to not display in a visualization

  • Fixed an issue that would require an analytics restart after running the SQLIAudit
  • Fixed an issue where some characters would be converted in the URL
  • Resolved an issue that would occur when the same query runs multiple times concurrently

Maintenance Pack 4.9.12

Issues fixed

  • Resolved an issue with Aggregated Table insights and merged columns incorrectly displaying the count of rows
  • Fixed an issue that incorrectly rounded percent values for an insight downloaded or exported as an Excel (.xlsx) file
  • Resolved an issue that incorrectly rounded values when using the USD currency format
  • Fixed an issue impact the format of data values when an insight is downloaded as a CSV (.csv) file or exported as a CSV (.csv)

  • Fixed an issue with the RelayState in Okta, where the RelayState was not resolved and the redirection from Okta to Incorta was not working

Analyzer

  • Resolved an issue that limited the number of displayed physical schemas and business schemas in the Add Data Set panel
  • Fixed a performance issue with the Analyzer that hindered the quick editing of an insight on a dashboard
  • Fixed a performance issue with opening the Analyzer by discarding unneeded API calls

Physical Schema

  • Resolved a performance issue with rendering a multi-source table with too many columns
  • Fixed an issue with session variables, where the search list was limited to display 200 variables

Schema Notifications

  • Resolved an issue that limited the number of displayed physical schemas in the Create Email Notification dialog
  • Fixed an issue with sending Schema notifications via email

Dashboards

  • Fixed an issue with exporting a Pivot table insight to excel, where the format of the exported measures were incorrect
  • Fixed an issue with exporting a Pivot table insight with a subtotal to excel, where the subtotal value was distorted
  • Fixed an issue with displaying the export folder name for a schedule when importing a tenant from Incorta 4.3 to Incorta 4.9.9

SQLi

  • Fixed an issue with creating a materialized view table with a key column using spark, where the table used to be empty
  • Fixed an issue with compaction failure if the table is a materialized view with a key column
  • Fixed an issue with Tableau, where data was displayed with missing rows

Maintenance Pack 4.9.10

What’s New?

  • Enhanced format for dashboards sent by email
  • Support for parsing complex list expressions inside functions

Issues fixed

Dashboard

  • Fixed an issue where applying a minimum value for the Y-axis in Line charts caused the charts sent by email to look different than in Incorta
  • Fixed a case where the Total value appeared for all measures in an aggregated table insight when exported to Excel file although the Hide Grand Total option was enabled for selected measures

Administration

  • Fixed a case where terminating the Analytics Service using the kill command did not sync the service status in the listServices.sh script

Schema

  • Fixed an intermittent case where physical or business schemas did not appear to some authorized users after an update

SQLi/Notebook

  • Fixed a case where the process for extracting data for a large number of records hanged when using Incorta custom connector with Tableau 2020.4.2

Maintenance Pack 4.9.8

Issues fixed

Dashboard

  • Fixed a case, after upgrading from 4.7.x, where some insight configurations would result in not rendering the chart
  • Fixed a case where Advanced Maps tooltip would not show some values (showed NaN or 0) if the Lat/Long fields were empty
  • Fixed an issue with scheduled dashboard export where trying to open a scheduled job with a blank export file name would cause the application to crash

  • Fixed an issue where selecting a default value for a prompt resulted in an error due to prompt dependency

  • Fixed an issue with the dashboard drill down of timestamp column on chart visualizations where the timestamp was changed into epoch format
  • Fixed an issue where column subtotals in Pivot tables were displayed although they were disabled in the insight settings

Maintenance Pack 4.9.6

What’s New?

  • Introduce WAF compliance changes to the exporting tenant endpoint
  • Search in the Filter bar of a dashboard now shows the most relevant search results first
  • A mobile browser redirects a user to download the mobile app
  • The Stacked Column and Stacked Bar visualization now support displaying subtotal values on the top of the vertical column or the horizontal bar in an insight
  • An XSLX download now displays the column labels for a dashboard runtime filters or a prompt instead of the column names
  • Increased the number of scheduler workers so as to avoid missing scheduled jobs when there are high number of concurrent scheduled jobs

  • Fixed an issue that did not allow a schema developer to preview Incorta Table results

  • Fixed an issue where importing a physical schema does not recreate its join
  • Fixed a case where a join is not calculated during a full load job when a child table has the Disable full load property enabled

  • Enhanced and resolved issue with the Inspector Tool results that caused missing the owner
  • Resolved an issue for Google Cloud Storage that did not remove deleted content

Maintenance Pack 4.9.5

What’s New?

  • Supported running queries in background to avoid request timeouts for long-running queries
  • Supported data load chunking for the NetSuite connector
  • Enhanced the load job to not wait for the Analytics synchronization
  • Removed the fallback to V1 compaction as it required special setup or a large amount of on-heap memory
  • Enhanced the join calculation so that Incorta does not recalculate it if the parent table loads 0 records
  • Enhanced the LDAP synchronization to continue on error
  • Enhanced the error messages that Incorta displays when insights fail due to out of memory
  • Enhanced the logging for the import tenant scenarios to show the progress
  • Removed the Enable SQL Joins option from Incorta Labs in the Cluster Management Console (CMC)

  • Fixed some formula performance issues
  • Fixed a case where cross-table formula would, intermittently, cause the load to fail in accessing snapshot files
  • Changed addDays formula to accept long and double values
  • Fixed a case where a user was not able to add a formula column to an insight unless it was using columns joined with the existing columns
  • Other minor fixes and enhancements in the formula package

Catalog

  • Fixed a rare case where users cannot list a dashboard if the dashboard ID was the same as the ID of a folder shared with them
  • Fixed a case where users could see shared nested folders on the Content home, in addition to their original place under other folders
  • Fixed a case where users were able to create dashboards and subfolders under a folder shared with them with only View permission

Administration

  • Fixed an issue that caused Google Chrome version 84 to block Incorta iframe URL
  • Fixed an issue that caused scheduler jobs migration to fail during the upgrade from release 4.4.x to 4.7 or later
  • Changed the Enable Always Compact option (CMC → Tenant Configurations → Data Loading) to be disabled by default
  • Resolved the reset/forgot password methods to use the configured instance URL

SQLi/Notebook

  • Fixed an issue with SQLi audit log
  • Fixed an issue with Dundas failing to initiate connections through SQLi
  • Fixed an intermittent issue that caused SQLi initialization to fail
  • Fixed an issue that caused SQLi queries to fail when using session variables that returned a list with some Null values
  • Fixed an issue with Notebook that caused it to break whenever a SSL handshake failed

Miscellaneous

  • Fixed a suspected memory leakage
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Amazon S3 connector to fail to connect to a directory that contained files or folders with special characters in their names
  • Fixed some possible thread leaks at shutting down

Maintenance Pack 4.9.4

What’s New?

  • Enhanced dashboard performance for personalization
  • Enhanced the metadata databases upgrade performance. The new update script migrates only the previous 100 schema load job history records. The other records are archived. Please contact the Global support team if you need to access migrate the entire load job history.

Issues fixed

  • Resolved issues with various queues affecting the load operations for schemas.
  • Fixed an issue in session variable evaluation in column labels
  • Fixed an issue in schema update that caused joins to break in a corner case
  • Resolves an issues causing blank totals for a Listing or Aggregated when using the built-in Max and Min functions in a formula column
  • Disabled the splitting of Apache Parquet feature by default
  • Fixed an issue with error handling that caused all insights to fail if one of them is failing due to I/O error
  • Resolves issues in the SQLi interface to show all tables and views in a given tenant.

Maintenance Pack 4.9.3

What’s New?

  • Trained models can now be written to tenants directory.
  • The built-in function, caseContains, is now available in the Formula Builder.

  • Changed ERROR to WARN for loader logs for the release of certain locks.
  • Resolved an issue where China Country Code (CN) was not correctly showing on a Map insight.
  • Resolved with post load formula compilation with formula expressions using a built-in lookup and ifNull function.
  • Resolved issues with non-working joins after a schema load.
  • Resolved issues with nested business view formula columns.
  • Resolved customer issues with the Oracle Fusion connector.
  • Fixed numerous issues with the Advanced Maps visualization for layers and colors.

Maintenance Pack 4.9.2

What’s New?

  • There is an updated Master End User License Agreement (EULA) in the installer. Please read it.

  • In the Analyzer, the Advanced Map visualization with Mapbox now supports:

    • Zoom and Center added for when a map opens.
    • Support for String columns in the Color By dimension.
    • Support for drill down interactions for dimensions.
  • The Analyzer includes an interactive guided tour for the new user interface. This tour is only available for Insights and for this release.
  • In the Analyzer, for the Format property of a measure, you can now select the Euro or Euro Rounded options.
  • In the Analyzer, for Insight settings, there is now a Max Rows Limit property. This property was re-introduced.
  • In the Analyzer, you can now expand the width of the Manage Data Sets panel.
  • In the Schema Manager, in List view, sorting by columns is now case insensitive.
  • In the Analyzer, changed the behavior of multi-select of columns in the Data Panel. Instead of the Windows keystroke, users now must use the Ctrl keystroke.

Issues fixed

  • Fixed an issue with Chunking of CSV files that resulted in missing rows for table loads.
  • Resolved an issue affecting how a user can edit the schedule for the delivery of a dashboard.
  • Fixed an issue with LDAP authentication that caused certain session variables to not clear from cache, resulting in wrong values.
  • Resolved an issue with the Formula Validation Tool that did not identify certain formula validation errors in the failedFormulas.tsv file.
  • For Safari 14.0, resolved an issue that prevented a user from selecting a physical schema table in the Analyzer.
  • Fixed an issue where a user was not able to enable Dark Theme mode unless defining all user profile properties.
  • In the Incorta Metadata database, increased the length of the LOGINNAME column from varchar(50) to varchar(255) so as to resolve issues with importing a tenant.
  • Fixed an issue that caused a load job for a table to fail when the table data source defined a Callback URL.
  • Resolved an issue with the Sankey insight that did not support using an insight formula as a Source or as a Destination.
  • Fixed an issue that causes the Loader Service and Analytics Service to stop responding when there are frequent schema updates.
  • Resolved an issue with session variables that reference the $user system variable in an expression and are present in a Runtime Business View.
  • Fixed an issue where nested lookup functions failed to return results after restarting the Loader Service or Analytics Service.
  • Resolved an issue causing a load job to fail when there was an issue with a formula column expression. Now the load job will continue on error.
  • Fixed an issue in with the Advanced Map insight preventing the display of latitude and longitude values in a tooltip.
  • In the Scheduler, resolved a few issues with Schema Loads in terms of the Status and Next Run columns.
  • When downloading a tab as XLSX file from an insight, the download filename now includes the tab name.
  • Fixed a problem that prevented a Heatmap insight to properly render on an HTML email.
  • Fixed an issue with the SQLi interface for columns of the type Null.
